My Educational Philosophy
The theme that describes my educational philosophy is life-long learning. I believe that people can and will learn in
any environment or circumstance. As a teacher, I have the responsibility of adapting the changing environment to promote positive
and productive learning. The changing environment I'm talking about begins in the classroom and includes the school, family,
and community. I believe that every student has strengths and needs. I believe that the whole student should be valued, recognized
and respected. Because I believe in life-long learning, as new teaching strategies are researched and refined, I will evaluate
their effectiveness and appropriateness for use within the learning environment and with each individual student. By continuing
my educational development in this manner, I will promote and nurture life-long learning for others and myself.
My Mission Statement
My mission statement is to provide individuals with sufficient knowledge and skills for life long learning, to have respect
for themselves and others, and to become productive citizens in an atmosphere that encourages creativity, and physical and
emotional well being through a joint effort of the family, school and community.
My Diversity Statement
Diversity is all of the ways we differ individually, interpersonally, and organizationally. Understanding diversity involves
the recognition of cultural and other differences and traditions by identifying and empathizing with differing beliefs and
behaviors. I will use the strength of these differences to improve services to its community.
